A Historic Moment

A historic moment is set to unfold at the Military Children 2025 World Expo Fit 2 Run 3K. As a true American hero, Chief Master Sergeant Jason David, (USAF Ret.), takes the lead in the quarter-leg run. As a Purple Heart recipient, veteran broadcaster, and Command Senior Enlisted Leader for the Defense Media Activity, Chief David embodies the resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of the U.S. Armed Forces.
This momentous run will unite military families, veterans, active-duty service members, and Purple Heart recipients in a powerful demonstration of remembrance, legacy, and commitment to the next generation.
Passing the Torch – A Legacy of Service
Adding to the significance of this event, the Fit 2 Run 3K will serve as the official moment when the 2024 World Expo torch is passed to the Military Children 2025 World Expo. This symbolic gesture highlights the enduring spirit of military-connected children and their invaluable contributions as part of the global military community.
Participants and spectators alike will have the rare opportunity to witness and be a part of history as this torch is carried forward—bridging the past, present, and future of military service and sacrifice.
Join the Movement – Purple Heart Recipients Unite
We are calling on all Purple Heart recipients to join Chief Master Sergeant Jason David in leading this historic 3K run, walk, or push. This is more than a race—it is a tribute to those who have served and sacrificed. Your presence will inspire the next generation of military children, demonstrating resilience, honor, and the unbreakable spirit of those who serve.
If you are a Purple Heart recipient, we invite you to be recognized in this extraordinary event. Your story is one of courage, perseverance, and service, and we honor your role in shaping the future of our nation’s military children.

Circle of Remembrance Tribute – Honor and Remember
In partnership with Wear Blue: Run to Remember, the event will feature a Circle of Remembrance Tribute—a solemn and moving ceremony honoring fallen service members. This tribute serves as a reminder of the lives lost in service to our country, and ensures that their legacies live on in the hearts of those they leave behind.
All participants are invited to take part in this tribute, standing shoulder to shoulder in reflection and gratitude.

Kickoff by Team Red, White & Blue
Leading the charge at the start of the 3K will be the Team Red, White & Blue (RWB) Eagles, reinforcing the mission of fostering health, wellness, and camaraderie among veterans and military families. With the support of BlueCross BlueShield Association and Team Red, White & Blue, this event is a powerful testament to the military community's strength and unity.
